I would eat lots of this James. I haven't seen a salmon en croute topped with asparagus before - very posh.
It was one of those things - you're looking around for something to go on top of the salmon (as well as creamed wild mushrooms) and there's a spare half bunch of asparagus. If you put it on the top raw then it will cook as the salmon cooks.
